Welcome! I'm Vanesa and with my Husband Mariano, we live in Buenos Aires - Argentina.
All my life I've been an animals lover, but above all animals cats have always been my favorites and I've always had cats.
In 1996, just married, my hubby gave me as present a Siamese queen, which had no pedigree and had been run from her original home. Pancha was my first contact with Siamese, or at least with what I believed so far were Siamese, and I deeply fall in love with the differences I found between her and all the other cats I've had until that day.
Thanks to Pancha, my interest in cats with pedigree arise (even though she had no pedigree at all, which I knew later on). Pancha performed only at one show in 1997, in which we introduce her to get her initial record "RIEX" (this was denied due to a small even undetectable defect on her tail..) The flame has been lightened.. the fascination I experienced going to that show and the absolutely amazing cats I was able to see there, as well as breeders completely charming and helpful towards this "breeder wannabe" made me go beyond my pseudo-Siamese and I started dreaming..
In September, a year after that completely wonderful experience, IC. AR* Robert's Roxxie joing us.Our first Chocolate Point Siamese queen, daughter of: AR*CH Sukarno Nijinsky of Robert's DM, "A cat that anyone who met him, as his Owner always say, worshiped him" One of those cats that absolutely leave you without a breath. He was the first siamese male in reach the Distinguish merit in Argentina.
In 1999, together with our first son Facundo
AR*Camelot Fantasy was born with a mate of a Red point siamese male, Finito de Camelot Fantasy and our queen IC Robert's Roxxie.
Her first litter brought us IC AR*Camelot Fantasy Macarena a Tortie Chocolate Point Siamese who obtained top positions at international feline shows, many times awarded as Best is Show.
In 2000 we added an oriental black spotted tabby male to our staff, GIC AR* Alakush Lakar of Camelot Fantasy whom we showed and ranked until getting the title of "2000 Oriental Male - AFA"
During a show that year, I have the enormous pleasure of meeting Mr. Pedro Baldesari, the one for many years worked on his own to promote the Balinese Breed in Argentina. He allowed me to hold in my arms a chocolate tabby point Balinese and from that very moment I started dreaming again...
Many years went by but my memory still recalled the feeling produced by that first encounter with Balinese breed, touching a cat soft as silk, with semi long hair, soft that needs almost no maintenance, but above all I was delighted by that aristocratic look Balinese have together with their charming character and their amazing intelligence!
Year 2003 was a great year but at the same time very complicated for us. That year we had the 2nd Best Oriental Jr, 2nd Best Oriental Queen, exported 3 queens to US meanwhile... my second daughter, Lara, was born.
On the other hand, merely because of domestic problems I felt a bit overwhelmed having to deal with babies and cats so I decided to take a sabbatical year and temporarily leave the breeding.
2005 was a year of encounter with this hobby and with pending dreams. Camelot Fantasy export two cats to USA and we have two amazing incorporations to our staff! because them, 4 wonderful persons will ever have all my gratitude: Silvina Estrada y Sabina Donadio , AR*Robert's cattery and Rodrigo Castany y Christian Flores, AR*Mision Lofoten cattery.
Camelot Fantasy was standing up again! But even more.. watching the dreams come true by incorpating a breed we wanted so much! In August 2005, from Ohio - USA, US* MartyCats Night Magic of Camelot Fantasy arrived to Argentina. Our first Seal tabby point Balinese was a dream come true!
In 2006 we exported 3 more cats to US and we added to our staff: our first Seychellois (carrying long hair) and an oriental long haired blue ticked tabby (both imported from US) together with AR*Robert's Maia, an oriental chocolate daughter of HU*Okonor Lyon, a Hungarian chocolate Siames.
We are actually working to continue exceeding our goals, obtaining more beautiful cats but above all with the best temper and the best health. Our cats are riced by and together with our kids, that are the ones that give them one of our most valued trade mark, that is an unique temper . The Kids play a very important roll in our cattery, because they are the responsibles of the early social education of the kittens.
